Maddon shakes up Cubs lineup for Friday's game with Marlins

by - Correspondent -

To spark the Cubs offense, manager Joe Maddon has returned to his pitcher in the 8th slot lineup that he used most of last season. Heyward has been moved to leadoff with rookie catcher Willson Contreras batting cleanup. Anthony Rizzo is out once again with back tightness.

Thursday night the Marlins handed Chicago its fourth-straight loss as they began a season-long 11-day, 11-game, three-city trip through Miami (0-1), Cincinnati (three games) and New York (four games). The Cubs have lost four games in a row for the first time this season, their longest regular-season skid since losing four straight from August 26-29 last season.
