Thursday's Cubs-Diamondbacks game delayed |
The Chicago Cubs game between the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday afternoon has been delayed because of the threat of rain and thunderstorms in the area.
They decided to hold off on the start of the 1:20 start time because of the potential bad weather that is about to roll through Chicago. The ground crew put the tarp on the field at 1:06 pm CDT. "Today's game will be delayed as thunderstorms pass through the area," Cubs video board stated. "We will provide further information when available. Thank you." CubshQ will update you when there is an estimate when the game will begin. Update 1:28 pm CDT -- Rain has stopped. Update 1:38 pm CDT -- It's raining but is sunny outside. Game is expected to start at 2:50 pm CDT according to Cubs officials. Troublesome clouds lurk. We aren't going to get started on time.
Uh oh. We have ourselves a weather delay. ??
