CHICAGO — Extending the Chicago Cubs' "homer-fest" at Wrigley Field on Saturday, second baseman David Bote smacked a three-run long ball in the bottom of the fifth. The dinger marked the Cubs' fifth home run of the game and increased the North Siders' commanding lead against the Atlanta Braves to 11-0.
Bote's 396-footer plated left fielder Joc Pederson and right fielder Jason Heyward. Reliever Jacob Webb got taken deep on a 94-mph four-seamer not long after taking the mound.
