With the 2020 MLB season just days away, the Cubs Corner returned from its hiatus to breakdown some of the fans' biggest curiosities. While the league has angered questions such as how many games, how often players will be tested and the Cubs have answered questions like who will be the leadoff hitter and how will the DH be handled there was more to be answered, and Anthony did his best to take care of the rest. Anthony touched on how a shorter season should benefit Jon Lester's style of pitching and aging abilities and agree with David Ross' decision to name Kyle Hendricks, the opening day starter. He also stressed the importance of health and consistency on the mound as keys for the 2020 season. Anthony even went as far as saying that those two factors could be the difference between winning the division or missing the playoffs for the second consecutive season. Anthony also gave his predictions for AL and NL MVP and Rookie of the year: AL MVP: Angels OF Mike Trout or Yankees OF Aaron Judge NL MVP: Braves OF Ronald Acuna Jr., Dodgers OF Mookie Betts or Padres SS Fernando Tatis Who will win Rookie of the Year? AL ROY: White Sox OF Luis Robert NL ROY: Nationals 3B Carter Kieboom The next batch of predictions included the NL Central, with a record included for the Cubs.
