FIRST LOOK: 2025 Chicago Cubs Convention lineup

CHICAGO – The 38th Annual Cubs Convention is less than one week away, returning January 17-19, 2025, to the Sheraton Grand Chicago. Join fellow Cubs fans for an action-packed weekend filled with fan-favorite activities, including autograph sessions with Cubs legends, players and coaches, engaging panel discussions, exhibits including the popular archive display rooms, live Cubs Authentics auctions, Cubs Bingo presented by Budweiser and more.

New this year, fans will have the chance to compete against Cubs players in the nostalgic video game Backyard Baseball featuring Pablo Sanchez Friday in the Exhibitor’s Hall and again Saturday and Sunday in the promenade on the fourth floor. 

FRIDAY PROGRAMMING

This thrilling offseason event kicks off Friday, January 17, with Opening Ceremony where players and alumni will be introduced as well as the new Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame Class of 2025. The late night-style talk show, Off the Mound with Ryan Dempster presented by Budweiser, will return by popular demand and new autograph sessions will be available to get the weekend started. The first day of Cubs Convention will end with Harry Carayoke presented by Budweiser.

SATURDAY PROGRAMMING

On Saturday, January 18, fans can attend engaging sessions, including the Baseball Operations Update with Jed Hoyer and Carter Hawkins and A Sit Down with Craig Counsell both presented by Wintrust. Panels will include Cubs Pitchers: On the Mound, Cubs Hitters: At the Plate and Road to Wrigley featuring various Cubs players.

New this year, fans will have the opportunity to learn firsthand from coaches in Cubs Chats that include Learning to Hit, How to Pitch and Around the Diamond. Additional chats will include a panel in Spanish as well as a discussion with the women of the front office and tips from our broadcasting experts.

Returning Cubs Convention favorites will include the Kids Only Press Conference presented by Advocate Children’s Hospital, Clark’s Clubhouse, a live recording of The Compound podcast with Cubs outfielder Ian Happ, Cubs Bingo presented by Budweiser and Harry Carayoke presented by Budweiser. Late Saturday afternoon, guests are invited to a reception where they can chat with Cubs Executive Chairman Tom Ricketts over a beverage.

ARCHIVE ROOMS

Always a crowd favorite, fans can see the history-filled rooms return Friday and Saturday. Explore different archive rooms filled with jerseys, bats, baseballs, awards and more from the Cubs and Wrigley Field Archives.

LIVE AUCTION

Cubs Authentics will host live auctions Friday and Saturday with items up for bid including game-used jerseys, bases, baseballs, bats, batting gloves, helmets, flags and more from the 2024 season. Fans who want to bid in the auctions are required to sign up either before Cubs Convention by emailing cubsauthentics@cubs.com or by visiting the Cubs Authentics Store at the Sheraton during Cubs Convention weekend.

SUNDAY PROGRAMMING

Returning for a third year will be the popular youth baseball and softball clinic. The clinic offers the opportunity for young Cubs fans of all skills and abilities to enhance their baseball or softball skills through instruction provided by alumni, players and Cubs Nike RBI coaches.

The Cubs also will honor Martin Luther King, Jr. and celebrate his life and legacy with a thoughtful conversation with alumni Sunday, January 19.

Weekend passes and hotel packages are still available. A portion of the proceeds from Cubs Convention will benefit Cubs Charities and its mission to mobilize the power of sport to champion youth, families and communities.
