A definite MOREL boost.

Chicago Cubs third baseman Christopher Morel smacked a two-run homer to put the Cubs up 2-0 in the first inning of Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

It was his ninth homer of the season with an estimated distance of 397 feet with an exit velocity of 101.9 MPH and a launch angle of 29 degrees.

Only three players in the National League have more homers than Morel so far this season.

Morel has now homered in back-to-back Mother's Day games.
