WATCH: Cubs honor Len Kasper in his return to Wrigley Field

by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — This past offseason, Chicago Cubs television play-by-by announcer Len Kasper made the surprising decision to leave the Cubs to become the radio play-by-by announcer for the Chicago White Sox. Kasper had worked for the Cubs since 2005, and he cited a desire to broadcast playoff games as the primary reason behind his switch to radio.

With the first installment of the 2021 Crosstown Classic taking place at Wrigley Field on Friday, Kasper made his return to the Friendly Confines. Between innings in the early goings, Kasper was honored on the videoboard via a nice tribute and received a rousing ovation from fans in attendance.
