CHICAGO — A pitching duel between Chicago Cubs starter Trevor Williams and Milwaukee Brewers starter Brett Anderson was interrupted by a two-run shot off the bat of Cubs catcher Willson Contreras. Marking the first hit of Monday's game, the blast in the bottom of the fourth put the Cubs up 2-0.

In the previous plate appearance, Cubs left fielder Ian Happ drew a walk, making him the first baserunner of the game. Anderson, a former Cub, was taken deep by Contreras three pitches later. The 409-foot homer carried out to center at Wrigley Field, with Contreras getting underneath a cutter.
