Cubs minor league pitcher Mathew Peters suspended for 2024 season |
Not good news for a Cubs prospect.
MLB announced on Friday that Chicago Cubs right-hander Mathew Peters has been suspended for the 2024 season for a positive test for a performance-enhancing substance called Oral Turinabol. The 23-year-old was a 12th-round pick out of Indiana of Technology in 2022. He was 0-1 with a 16.68 ERA in 14 relief appearances last season for the Arizona Complex League Cubs. 1⃣0⃣1⃣ MPH. That's 🔥.
