Bears reportedly will activate former Pro-Bowl RB

It's Miller time!

The Chicago Bears will reportedly call up veteran running back Lamar Miller from their practice squad on Sunday, according to multiple reports.

"When he was playing at his highest level, he was one of the best running backs in the NFL," Bears coach Matt Nagy said about Miller on Sunday. "To have a guy like that, to me, there’s an excitement of the possibility of him being able to fill a role for us. I do love this story. I think that if he does get a chance to go out there and do something, it will be exciting for him and for us.”

The 2018 Pro-Bowl selection missed last season with a torn ACL. During the 2018 season, he rushed 193 times for 917 yards (4.8 YPC) to go with 23 catches for 163 yards receiving and five total touchdowns.

He is certainly needed as starting running back David Montgomery has already been announced as out with a concussion for Monday Night's contest against the Minnesota Vikings. Other running backs that can help fill the void with Monty out is Cordarelle Patterson and Ryan Nall.

This should be interesting to see what Miller has left in the tank because he is healthy for the first time in a while.

He signed with the Bears' practice squad back in early October.
