Cubs announce revised 2021 Spring Training schedule

CHICAGO – Major League Baseball and the Chicago Cubs today announced the club’s revised 2021 Spring Training schedule, which now begins Monday, March 1, at the Peoria Sports Complex against the San Diego Padres. The Cubs’ first home game is Tuesday, March 2, at Sloan Park vs. the Kansas City Royals.

The club’s new 28-game schedule includes 14 games at Sloan Park and 14 Cactus League road games with off days on Sunday, February 28, and Tuesday, March 16. All home games will begin at 1:05 p.m. Arizona time, except for Wednesday, March 17, vs. the San Diego Padres (6:05 p.m.), Thursday, March 25, vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers (6:05 p.m.) and the team’s Cactus League finale Monday, March 29, vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks (12:05 p.m.).

The Cubs and White Sox play twice this spring – Monday, March 15, in Glendale and Tuesday, March 23, in Mesa.

The general on-sale for single game tickets to Cubs Spring Training games at Sloan Park begins Friday, February 19, at noon MST/1 p.m. CST. To ensure physical distancing at Sloan Park, limited-capacity, pod-style seating will be implemented for the 2021 season. Tickets will be available in pods of two, four and six in the seating bowl and in pods of two and four in the General Admission Lawn and Budweiser Rooftop sections.
