WATCH: Baez applies no-look tag to prevent steal

PITTSBURGH — Like they have done many times before, Chicago Cubs All-Stars Javier Baez and Willson Contreras teamed up for an impressive, successful attempt at outing a potential base stealer. This time around, with the Cubs battling the Pittsburgh Pirates, Baez stole the show.

Receiving the throw at second base from backstop Contreras, Baez flashed his quick glove work with a no-look tag of Pittsburgh's Starling Marte, who was attempting to swipe second. Applying the tag while falling to the ground, Baez provided yet another example of why he is widely considered to be the flashiest infielder in baseball.
