Chapman: "Love to get back to Cubs"

Former Chicago Cubs closer Aroldis Chapman is currently at David Ortiz's charity event in Punta Cana on Friday afternoon and said that he is open to returning to the World Series champions.

"Love to get back to Cubs, we are in negotiations, but not up to me," Chapman said according to MLB insider Ian Browne.

Chapman is looking for a five-year deal worth $100 million dollars from a ballclub according to multiple reports.

He was 4-1 with a 1.55 ERA with 36 saves and 90 strikeouts during the regular season in 2016. In the postseason in 15.2 innings, he had a 3.45 ERA with four saves while striking out 21.

For his career, he has a 2.08 ERA with 182 saves and 636 strikeouts.
