Cubs release Craig Sager tribute video after his passing |
Legendary sideline reporter and Cubs fan Craig Sager has passed away at the age of 65 after a battle with cancer.
Sager's family were able to watch a baseball game together and cheer on the Cubs back in October. "It's fitting the Cubs get their mojo back the same night my dad checks out from the hospital," Sager's daughter said. Sager was fortunately able to see his beloved Cubs win the World Series in 2016. "Craig Sager was a beloved member of the Turner family for more than three decades and he has been a true inspiration to all of us," Turner President David Levy said in a statement. "There will never be another Craig Sager. His incredible talent, tireless work ethic and commitment to his craft took him all over the world covering sports." Just two Cubs fans celebrating a successful procedure, a birthday & a WORLD SERIES in the same day!!!! #SagerStrong #ThankYouCubs pic.twitter.com/zvWU7XoDS8
