President Obama called Cubs skipper Joe Maddon aboard Air Force One on Thursday night to congratulate his team on the 2016 World Series title and to invite his team to the White House.

The President went on say how proud he was of the team and how much he enjoyed watch them break the curse.

"It happened: Cubs win World Series," Obama tweeted on Thursday morning. "That's change even this South Sider can believe in. Want to come to the White Houe before I leave?"

Obama is a diehard White Sox fan but still understand how important the beloved Chicago Cubs are to the city of Chicago.
