Cubs News: Schwarber injury update |
Chicago Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber was carted off with an apparent left leg injury in the second inning against the Diamondbacks. According to the Cubs medical staff, Schwarber has a sprained left ankle and the initial x-rays were negative. He will have an MRI tomorrow to further evaluate the ankle.
Schwarber and center fielder Dexter Fowler collided together going after Jean Segura's deep fly ball in left center field. Segura scored an inside the park homerun on the play. To be clear, this is the initial diagnosis for Kyle Schwarber. #Cubs are hopeful but will know more after tomorrow's MRI on left leg.
