WATCH: Shirtless Cubs fan runs onto field, gets tackled by security |
CHICAGO — On Wednesday, the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals to secure a postseason berth for the Chicago Cubs, who were battling the Pittsburgh Pirates at home at the time.
In the wake of the exciting news, a couple of moronic Cubs fans stormed Wrigley Field in celebratory fashion and got tackled by security in short order. Shirtless and likely inebriated, one of the fans was swarmed by security personnel in the outfield to bring an end to his short-lived glory. Hopefully, the rowdy young man will think of better ways to celebrate the Cubs' successes while spending the night in jail. Apparently idiot fans celebrate the @cubs clinching a postseason berth by storming the field. And I stress idiot. pic.twitter.com/gK9urBdVeY Well, I’ve never seen anything like that before while attending a ballgame. pic.twitter.com/EeX2JqX9TP
