Cubs Corner with Chris Emma of 670 The Score: Cubs offseason talk, Cubs' core predictions

by - Staff Writer -

On the latest edition of the Cubs Corner, presented by Coach’s Bar and Grill, 670 the Score’s Chris Emma joins Anthony to talk mostly Cubs-related things.

Coach’s Bar and Grill is available on GrubHub during these times. Make sure to check out Coach’s Bar and Grill.

The conversation began with the Chicago Bears, who Emma currently covers. Emma described the likelihood of Mitchell Trubisky getting the start (and we all know how that turned out).

Beyond that, the pair really went into depth about the state of the Cubs organization during this crucial period of turnover where the team attempts to remain relevant.

Anthony and Chris discussed the parallels the 2016 Cubs have with the 1985 Bears and addressed some burning offseason questions that face this team.

The pair analyzed the move of Theo Epstein stepping down and the promotion of Jed Hoyer to President of baseball operations — and talked about multiple players and their potential futures with the team.

Among those players discussed include Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez, Kyle Schwarber, and Willson Contreras, and the talks go from whether or not these players will be resigned, traded, non-tendered, or none of the three.

That and more on this edition of the Cubs Corner.

This episode, past, and future episodes are available on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, and the CubsHQ website.
