Newcomer Alex Avila hit his first homer as a Cubs player on Saturday afternoon against the Washington Nationals.
It was a two-run blast that scored Ben Zobrist and gave the Cubs a 4-1 lead in the first inning. It was his 12th homer of the season. The Cubs now have 23 RBI and 71 RBI at the catcher position this season. Check out the video below.
