Three Cubs in Top 10 in MLB Jersey Sales |
MLB announced on Monday the top 10 jersey sales in the major leagues and three Chicago Cubs players were in the top ten with third baseman
Kris Bryant (#2 overall), first baseman Anthony Rizzo (#4 overall), and ace pitcher
Jake Arrieta (#7 overall).
"You don't try to do that but I guess it's a result of the hard work and how bad I want to be good at this game and then treating people with respect," Bryant said to reporters on Monday about the jersey sales. 40-year old Red Sox slugger and probable future Hall-of-Famer David Ortiz was first on the list with his impending retirement at the end of this year. The study was based on sales from MLBShop.com since the beginning of 2016.
