CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Chicago Cubs today reinstated outfielder Cody Bellinger from the 10-day injured list.
Bellinger, 29, was hitting .269 with nine home runs and 37 RBI for the Cubs in 79 games this season prior to being placed on the injured list on July 29 with a left middle finger fracture. Over his last 20 games (since June 18), Bellinger is hitting .303 (23-for-76) with five RBI and 12 runs scored. The Cubs play at Cincinnati tonight at 6:10 p.m. CT in a game that can be seen on the Marquee Sports Network and heard on 670 the Score.
