WATCH: Montero injured against Cardinals

Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Montero was injured in the top of the sixth inning on Wednesday afternoon against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Bryant threw a high throw to Montero at the plate who appeared to twist awkwardly on a tag play and injured his leg. Brandon Moss slid near Montero's leg while scoring on a Yadier Molina grounder.

Rookie catcher Wilson Contreras took over for Montero in the game.

3:45 pm C.T. Update: The Cubs said that Montero will have his right knee examined.
