CHICAGO — When discussing the injury that landed him on the 10-day injured list with the media on Monday, Chicago Cubs closer Craig Kimbrel revealed that he felt something off in his right knee during his outing on Saturday. Kimbrel was officially added to the injured list due to knee inflammation.

Kimbrel did not seem at all worried about the ailment, which he described as something that he could pitch through if necessary. The star closer essentially implied that the injured-list designation was precautionary and told reporters that he expected to spend the minimal amount of time on the shelf.
