Chicago Cubs catcher Yan Gomes crushed his fifth home run of the season, second baseman Nico Hoerner collected three RBIs, and Cubs pitching shut out the Padres in the 6-0 win on Tuesday night at Wrigley Field.
Gomes is second among all MLB catchers with five homers, only behind Atlanta's Sean Murphy, who has six dingers. In total, he had four hits during the ballgame in one of the top performances of his career. Check out the highlights below:
